The ThermoMax 8 lift-and-slide door offers a wide range of design options for creating individual access to a patio or balcony. Its generous dimensions allow for large openings that fill interiors with natural light and create a spacious, open living environment. The ThermoMax 8 is available as a 2-panel, 3-panel or 4-panel lift-and-slide door. Particularly slim frame profiles maximise the amount of natural light entering the room while contributing to a modern and spacious appearance. At the same time, the lift-and-slide door offers exceptional ease of operation: even at its maximum width of 6 m, the ThermoMax 8 can be opened and closed with minimal effort.

Even in its standard configuration, the ThermoMax 8 lift-and-slide door features a low threshold of just 10 mm while providing excellent sealing performance. For improved accessibility, an alternative threshold with a height of only 5 mm can be configured. Both options minimise potential trip hazards and make it easier to pass through the doorway, including for wheelchair users.

The ThermoMax 8 also impresses with its modern, high-quality appearance. The flush-fitting sash creates clean, elegant lines, while the innovative HDF (High Definition Finishing) surface provides a long-lasting, high-quality gloss finish and is particularly easy to maintain.

With an installation depth of 80 mm and a 5-chamber profile system with steel reinforcement, the ThermoMax 8 lift-and-slide door provides excellent thermal insulation. The profile system achieves a Uf value of 1.3 W/(m²K). As standard, the ThermoMax 8 is fitted with double glazing with a Ug value of 1.1 W/(m²K). Optional triple glazing with a Ug value of 0.5 W/(m²K) is also available. This can further improve thermal insulation and help reduce the amount of energy required for heating.

The thermally separated threshold and high-quality seals also contribute to the door’s good thermal performance. For further optimisation, the lift-and-slide door can be equipped with an optional “warm edge” spacer. Instead of a conventional aluminium spacer, a thermally optimised Chromatech Ultra spacer is used. This reduces thermal bridging around the edges of the glazing and helps improve the overall energy efficiency of the construction.
